The month of March is designated National Heroes/Heritage Month in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
COMMEMORATING NATIONAL HEROES/HERITAGE MONTH:
National Treasures of St Vincent and the Grenadines in conjunction with the Bank of St Vincent and the Grenadines present exhibitions over a three week period which show aspects of our cultural heritage, traditions and the artistry and creativity of our people.
During Week One- from Monday 5th to Friday 9th March- Banana Art by Nzimbu Browne is on display. Nzimbu uses banana fibre to create scenes of our lives past and present.
In Week Two- from Monday 12th to Friday 16th March- paintings by Gary Peters, including the Vincy Life Series, will be exhibited.
The final week of exhibition from the 19th to 23rd March will show video footage by Albert ‘Jus’ Edwards of Carnival from several decades- the 1940’s to the 1970’s.
The Exhibition takes place in the foyer of the Reigate Bank.
